Unlocking the Potential of Ibexa DXP v4.6

An in-depth discussion on the evolution, key features, and future roadmap of Ibexa DXP v4.6 with Sylvain Guittard, Director of Product Management.

In a recent interview, I had the opportunity to sit down with Sylvain Guittard, Director of Product Management at Ibexa, to delve into the nuances of Ibexa DXP v4.6. Guittard provided insights into the product's evolution, core features, and what the future holds for this innovative digital experience platform.

Evolution of Ibexa DXP

Guittard started by reflecting on the journey of Ibexa DXP, tracing its roots from a Content Management System (CMS) to a full-fledged Digital Experience Platform (DXP). The pivotal moment occurred around 2018-2019 when Ibexa successfully transitioned from CMS to DXP. This shift aligned with the evolving industry landscape, emphasizing enhanced capabilities, including personalization, content-commerce integration, and customization within a unified platform.

One significant achievement was consolidating diverse components, such as content, commerce, and personalization, under a single umbrella. Guittard highlighted the importance of standardization in interfaces and building consistent patterns, ensuring users experience a seamless transition between different features and components.

Ibexa DXP v4.6: A Landmark Release

When asked about the significance of Ibexa DXP v4.6, Guittard emphasized the longevity and completeness it brings to the table. The version's Long-Term Support (LTS) status is a game-changer for partners and customers, offering stability and support for five years.

"In version 4.6, the emphasis is not just on capabilities but also on the Long-Term Support (LTS), offering stability for up to 5 years with added components and a more complete DXP."

Beyond the support, Guittard pointed out that v4.6 stands out as the most complete DXP to date. The revamping of commerce components, introduction of the Customer Data Platform (CDP), Ibexa Connect for integration and automation and a myriad of add-ons contribute to making it a robust and versatile solution.

Ibexa Engage: Scheduled for release in Q1 2024, Ibexa Engage is a significant add-on focused on data collection.

Ibexa Orchestrate: Another upcoming add-on, Ibexa Orchestrate, which is to be expected later this year, will among other benefits also cover the customer journey orchestration."

Conclusion: Navigating the QNTM Ecosystem

In closing, Guittard advised users to pay attention to the evolving QNTM ecosystem, as Ibexa is no longer a standalone entity but an integral part of a broader ecosystem. Users can explore synergies between Ibexa and other components within the QNTM ecosystem, offering a more comprehensive solution for their evolving needs.
