Optima Packaging Group is a global leader in filling and packaging machines. They serve high-stakes industries like pharmaceuticals, food, cosmetics, and energy – all very different industries serving users with different needs.
But while their tech was top-of-the-line, their old website lacked the sophistication and flexibility needed to represent the company’s reputation for innovation.
The digital team knew it was time for a full relaunch that would reflect who Optima is today.
Optima’s goal:
- A web presence that matched their reputation for technical innovation.
- A structure that would help users from different industries find relevant content faster
- A CMS that would cut down manual work for the editing team
- Automatic translation of content
- A setup that could grow with them and be future-proofed for personalization and automation
Together with Rocket Media, they built a completely new digital setup using Ibexa DXP 4.5, and the transformation has been substantial. The new site is future-ready, enhancing everything from content management to personalization, automation, and cross-channel communication.
Let’s walk through how they did it, and which results their new setup is driving.
Tailored content for every industry
Optima doesn’t have one type of customer. Their tech serves production lines for pharmaceutical companies, cosmetics brands, energy providers, and many other industries with complex needs.
So, they needed a website that could guide users to industry-specific content quickly.
Using a modular site structure within Ibexa, each industry has its own dedicated section. Visitors receive tailored messaging and a clear next step towards relevant solutions.

An easier workflow for editors
Before the relaunch, content changes took up a significant amount of time for the Optima editing team. Today, Optima’s editors describe their new process as “more organic, guided, and significantly easier than with other content platforms.”
The Ibexa Page Builder gives them full layout control, and editorial workflows are built-in and intuitive. In total, they estimate that the new setup has cut their CMS workload by up to 80%.
Instead, editors can spend their time on more strategic initiatives rather than routine work.
Integrations that reduce friction
The Optima site doesn’t stand alone.
It’s a connected part of the company’s broader marketing setup, and this means integrations have to work smoothly behind the scenes.
Here are some of the key ones:
Digital Asset Management (DAM)
Editors can directly access Picturepark (Fotoware Group) via an image picker. Cropping and responsive image sets are automatically generated by Ibexa.
Automatic translation
DeepL Pro provides URL-effective translations for multiple content ty. For additional languages, the solution integrates with Conword’s “click-and-forget” automation, freeing the team of translation bottlenecks.
E-mail marketing
Web forms connect directly to Inxmail through Ibexa Connect. This means that leads go straight into outbound communication workflows.
Everything is designed to work together, and the result is a platform that runs seamlessly with little maintenance.
Scalability, personalization, and future-readiness
Looking ahead, Optima is moving toward more personalized, cross-channel experiences.
With the platform’s easy integration into future systems, the newly added Ibexa Connect, and personalization features coming soon, Optima is well-equipped to deliver even better digital experiences in the future.
