Major Norwegian Newspaper Hegnar.no Leaves Escenic for eZ Publish, Launches New Site

Hegnar.no, the largest digital financial newspaper in Norway, is in the midst of a major digital transformation, and its readers can now bank on a better user experience.

Earlier this week Hegnar.no launched their new website, switching from their former CMS Escenic to eZ Publish Platform. The digital agency Itch and the technology company and eZ partner Byte designed and built the sites, which feature a modern card-based layout, providing readers with easy access to the latest financial news.

Hegnar.no editors also have plenty of newfound freedom to create content and manage landing pages without relying on support from developers. Editors can rearrange content blocks themselves and control the flow of content on frontpages when their latest stories break.

"Hegnar.no is now rigged for rapid product development cycles," said Karine Storaker Braaten, CEO of Itch. "2016 will be marked by exciting development and testing of new digital products and services."

Hegnar.no is eZ's first major media customer in Norway, joining the ranks of leading publishers including the Financial Times, the Christian Science Monitor and Elle. Coming shortly after receiving the news of our CMS Critics' Choice award for Best CMS For Publishers, this is an exciting and important launch for eZ.
